The Pope, in fact, begins by explaining that Jesus “became poor, so that by his poverty we might become rich”, as the theme of the message recalls, taken from the Second Letter to the Corinthians. Christ's choice for poverty, the Pontiff states, suggests a positive dimension the state of being poor.
