Brothers Prepare to Take Final Vows

The 14th Course in Preparation for Solemn Profession was held in Rome, at the General Curia for the young Brothers who will be making their solemn vows in our Order this year or at the beginning of next year at the latest.

The course was attended by seventeen young Brothers from several countries, studying issues of relevance to the Hospitaller Religious Life and the Order's own documents, such as the Constitutions.

The young Brothers particularly appreciated the Spiritual Exercises which inaugurated the Course, given, as always, by Brother Pascual Piles, the former Prior General; various other speakers also delivered lectures throughout the month.

The evenings were animated by the Brothers themselves, giving them an opportunity to become better acquainted and to fraternise with one another. Even though it was impossible to go on pilgrimage to Trivolzio to pray at the tomb of St Richard Pampuri because of the bad weather, they spent very important evenings at Villa San Pietro and on Tiber Island, giving them the opportunity to make contact with other communities in Rome, who were always happy to show their Hospitality.

The young Scholastics  spent the final week of the Course in Granada close to the mortal remains of our Founder.
