Br. Siby Sebastian Makes Solemn Profession at the General Curia

The 8th September 2012 was a great and joyful day for the St. Thomas Province of India and for the General Curia. Br. Siby Sebastian who belongs to the Indian Province made his solemn Profession at the General Curia of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God at Nocetta in to the hands of Prior General Br. Donatus Forkan.

The Solemn profession took place during the Holy Mass at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the General curia celebrated by Br. Jesus Etayo. The Mass was attended by many Priests, Sisters and Religious from the neighbouring communities such as San Pietro, Vatican Pharmacy, Ophthalmic hospital, Battisitini, and Tiber island hospital. The parents , sister ( Blessed Mother Teresa congregation) and two cousins who are Religious Sisters, were present for Br. Siby's profession ceremony. After the ceremony all participants were invited for the dinner  

Bro. Siby was born on 24th March 1975 at Mundakayam, Kerala, India. He entered the Order on 25th June 1998 and after 6 years he left the Order and rejoined the Order on 16th January 2008. Then he made his simple profession on 8th March 2009. He is a qualified General Nurse.

Bro. Siby resides at the General Curia for the past three and  a half years.  He has completed  philosophy and is currently studying theology. After completing theology Br. Siby is hoping to go on to study bio ethics.
